Formula One Japan Grand Prix Betting 2011

Japan is a great place to go and race or to watch a Formula One race in. The Japanese are fanatical about their racing which means the Formula One drivers get to experience all of the mad and wonderful things that are great about their sport away from the track.

The Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka is one of the more complicated races and guarantees that Formula One Japan Grand Prix betting 2011 is much closer than the majority of betting customers will care to think.

Japan Grand Prix Betting

The best balanced drivers are going to feature heavily in Japan Grand Prix betting. The track has a series of complex turns and corners with very little room for straight line speed to become a heavy advantage.

The DRS system is not going to come into play in this race as much as it would on other tracks. Japan Grand Prix betting is going to reward the drivers who are a little braver than their opponents in terms of braking the latest to hold their advantage or to overtake an opponent.

The Suzuka Racecourse

The Suzuka racecourse is 5.807 kilometres in length with 53 laps covering the length of the race. There are two points on the Suzuka racecourse where straight line speed can be an advantage; the second and final sectors.

Many drivers of years gone past have said they found the Japanese Grand Prix the most mentally challenging of all. The sheer number of difficulty of many of the corners means that drivers must keep their concentration for much longer periods of time. This also makes the Suzuka racecourse one of the most physically demanding.

Japanese Grand Prix Favourite

Sebastian Vettel is going to be the Japanese Grand Prix favourite before practice and qualifying have even taken place. Vettel is the Japanese Grand Prix favourite because he has proven to be the best driver over different tracks for a longer period of time.

Someone like Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button or Fernando Alonso could also be the Japanese Grand Prix favourite for this race because they have all been world champions in the recent past and will fancy their chances of winning this race.

Hamilton has said that Japan is one of his favourite places to race because the country has experience in the sort of engineering that is required at the very top level to race in Formula One. He's also admitted that Suzuka is a satisfying place to win at for all of the complexities involved.

First Sector at Suzuka

The first sector at Suzuka is arguably the most difficult part of the race because the series of corners is quite complex. There are five subtle bends straight away after the second corner of the race.

The reason the first sector at Suzuka is so difficult is because these five bends can cause a car to spin out of control and crash if the setup is not absolutely perfect. This will be incredibly frustrating to drivers who have focused hard and put a lot of effort into doing a decent qualifying time.
