Betting on Big Brother has taken a major place in the events betting calendar due to the fantastic levels of interest it generates. We Brits are Big Brother daft. Unlike the book from which it takes its name, the world of Big Brother is democratic, with winners and evictions ultimately being decided by popular vote. I'm sure Orwell had none of this in mind when he wrote 1984.

Outright winner markets are up and running for this year's show. Alonsgide standard win markets punters are, of course, offered the opportunity to bet on evictions. However, if you fancy something a little bit different, look for Big Brother betting specials. Taking obvious inspiration from Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Channel 4, in partnership with Kit Kat, plan to hide a golden ticket in a chocolate bar and place whoever finds it in the Big Brother house. So when Kit Kat ask you to take a break, I bet you don't expect it to involve being imprisoned in a house for 13 weeks with a motley bunch of wannabe celebs.
Bet365 are offering odds on the gender of the golden ticket winner, while Paddy Power offer odds for predicting where the winner of the golden ticket will come from.
