The contest has been held every year since 1956, during which time it has steadily grown in size. The contest is also commonly associated with the kind of hopeless musical amateurs that truly deserve "nul points", yet the Eurovision has had its fair share of both prestigious entrants and those who later found fame, including ABBA, Lulu, Sandie Shaw, Cliff Richard, Julio Iglesias, Olivia Newton-John, Céline Dion, Katrina and the Waves, and, of course, the legendary Dana International. The contest has also provided us with such memorable musical milestones as Volare, Abba"s Waterloo, Making Your Mind Up by Bucks Fizz, and, of course, the immortal A-Ba-Ni-Bi, Israel"s entry in the 1978 Eurovision.
