Ferrari This is Ferrari's first year without one of the best drivers of all time, Michael Schumacher but they need not worry as their new driver Kimi Raikkonen is hot favourite to win this years competition, so if you are thinking of placing a bet, this may well be a good one to go for.Drivers for this team are, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.
McLaren came third in last years motor racing championships after poor reliability and qualifying issues.This season sees the arrival of Renault driver, Fernando Alonso who has proved his abilities with some of the best times raced during testing this week in Spain.
The team drivers are, Fernando Alons and Lewis Hamilton.
Renault has made a slow start to the season with poor finishes at the Sakhir test circuit in Bahrain. Their new driver on board, Heikki Kovalainen lost control on a bend in very strong winds but escaped unscathed, their other driver for this season is Giancarlo Fisichella.
Honda did quite well at testing in Bahrain with driver, Jenson Button coming third on two of the days racing. This year they will be looking to improve on their forth place championship position of last year. Jenson's team mate, Rubens Barrichello will be hoping to give him a run for his money.
BMW/Sauber.This German based team came fifth last year under the control of BMW; it saw the exit of Jacques Villeneuve half way through the season, just before the Japanese Grand Prix. He was replaced by Robert Kubica and his team mate driving with him this year will be Nick Heidfield.
Toyota didn't do well last year, scoring only half the points they won the previous year.Ralf Schumacher stood on the podium only the once in Australia and will be looking to do much better in his final contract year with Toyota. Jarno Trulli will be the other driver for the team.
Red Bull struggled with races last year, though David Coulthard won the Monaco Grand Prix and races again for Red Bull along side Mark Webber this season.
Williams did not have a good season last year; the worst in ten years, a total of twenty DNFs did not do them any favours. Their best result was Mark Webber coming sixth in two races. Drivers for this year are Nico Rosenberg and Alex Wurz.
Toro Rosso, 2006 was their first season and it proved to be a promising start.
This years' drivers are Scott Speed and Vintantonio Liuzzi.
Spyker entered last years' competition with a Russian license, which is a first for Formula One. Their drivers are Christijan Albers and Adrian Sutil.
Super Aguri, Japans team entered late on in last seasons Formula One, but did well to come in the top ten in Japan. Teams' drivers are Takumo Sato and Anthony Davidson.
