Hells Kitchen Betting
Hell’s Kitchen is a TV reality show, presented by Angus Deayton, which was originally based around the hard time top TV chef, Gordon Ramsey notoriously gives the people working in his kitchen. To make matters more interesting, the first series, broadcast in 2004, featured ten invited celebrities, including Edwina Currie, Al Murray, Jennifer Ellison and the late, great Tommy Vance, who cooked for a group of famous people assembled in a studio kitchen. Each day one would be eliminated by public vote until, after two weeks, there would be one winner. Jennifer Ellison was the one who was finally crowned the champion chef.

Hell’s Kitchen betting enthusiasts are well catered for by the vast array of online betting sites that have revolutionised the world of betting in the modern age. There’s virtually no limit to the range of TV bets on offer and, if you fancy your chances at predicting the winner of Hell’s Kitchen you can get pretty good odds early on in the series. To get you going, a lot of sites offer free bets as an incentive to new customers and these can be quite generous if you shop around for the best. There are sites out there to help you do this as well as assess the best odds on offer at any given moment.
As with most of these competitive reality shows, it’s very difficult to spot the winner early on in the series so it’s often best to focus on the most incompetent or irritating contestant and try to figure out who will be ousted in the weekly public votes. Online bookies provide good prices for this and, if you’re shrewd enough to judge who will be the next victim then you can do very well. Be careful though – the public can be perverse enough to keep a really annoying person on the show just because they like to see them wind up all the other contestants. Edwina Currie, who took a lot of stick from Ramsey over someone called John Major, might be a prime example of this.
Gordon Ramsey left the show after the first series to run the American version, Hells Kitchen US, so they changed the format to a competition between two kitchens, the blue and the red - one run by Gary Rhodes and the other by Jean-Christophe Novelli. This time it was ten members of the public rather than celebs and they were split into two teams of five with a prize of £250,000 to open their own restaurant. This led to the provision of a bigger restaurant and more famous people to feed. The public still came into play with the weekly voting and one contestant a week was eliminated.
The third series reverted back to the original format with best-chef-in-the-world, Marco-Pierre White at the helm. Ten celebrities took part, including Barry McGuigan, Paul Young, Kelly Le Brock and Jim Davidson, who was asked to leave following complaints from another celeb about homophobic comments. McGuigan was the winner. There is a fourth series planned and, although there is no definite start date as yet, it is likely to be in 2009.
