Kempton Park Betting

Kempton Park Racecourse, one of England's favourite horse racing venues, has undergone a major redevelopment programme and is now an all-weather, floodlit flat course as well as a world class jump track.

Horse racing fans flock to Kempton Park on Boxing Day for the now famous Stan James King George Chase and all are agreed that the standard of racing on the all-weather surface is as high and competitive as it was on turf.

A Brief History

Henry Hyde spotted an estate for sale in 1872 that he thought would make the perfect racecourse; thus Kempton Park was born and Kempton Park Betting soon followed. With much energy and resourcefulness he formed a company and the course was duly built - the first race taking place on Thursday 18th July 1878.
For 127 years, Kempton Park enjoyed flat turf racing until the recent development programme turned this majestic venue into Europe's premier floodlit racecourse.

The April Treat of Kempton Park Betting

On April 7th, the horse trainers of Lambourn will be opening the gates of Kempton Park to the general public in an effort to raise money for the Lambourn Valley Housing Trust, the Air Ambulance and other local charities. This is a great opportunity for all lovers of horse racing to take a peek behind the scenes of the racing world and get close to some of England's superb bloodstock. Visitors will be able to mingle with famous jockeys and watch them in action, whilst at the same time supporting these worthy charities.
