On Friday the 6th July, in Trafalgar Square, London, there will be huge celebrations as the Teams competing in the Tour de France are welcomed to London, the third time this famous race has taken place in Great Britain. It's a big pull in the cycling betting calendar.

There will be a five mile time trial lap taking place in London the next day, 7th July at Whitehall, London.  This ride takes in some very famous landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, the Royal Parks and finishes on the Mall.

Sunday 8th July sees the start of stage one of The Tour de France.  Riders will start from the Mall, head off along side the Thames down past the Houses of Parliament, past Big Ben, then crossing over the Thames river, passing The London Eye, then turning back on themselves towards the Tower of London and onto Greenwich before heading out of London and taking in the roads of Kent and racing onto Canterbury, the climax of the first stage.

Belgium sees the start of the second stage of the twenty, in Dunkirk.  The race will go in a clockwise direction down through France a climb up through the Alps on down to the South Coast and up through the Pyrenees and northwards towards the finish line on the Champs-Eylsees in Paris.
