New England Football Manager Betting
Online betting is now well under way for that now regular sports event – The New England Manager Stakes. The 2007 outing is unusually interesting, in terms of sports betting, because the FA has this time decided to think a bit before engaging the new incumbent.
This process will offer punters the rare chance to pit their wits against the bookies because form and suitability will, for once, be the key influences on the final decision. That the peoples choice is Jose Mourinho is a pretty strong indicator that the FA will not feel they have to engage an Englishman for the role, thus enlarging the field considerably.
The people, however, will not necessarily persuade the FA that Mourinho is the right man for the job. Although nobody is quite sure what managerial qualities are required to induce in the England team an inclination to occasionally win a match, a tempestuous personality is probably not one of them. Calmness, stature and acquired wisdom might be and Martin ONeill has these in abundance.
Unfortunately he doesnt want the job but perhaps the FA will recognise these qualities and make him an offer he cant refuse – which is about as likely as the Pope inviting Richard Dawkins over to crack open a bottle of Tequila. Fabio Capello wants the job but has no International experience. Jurgen Klinsmann is also keen but our players will be hard pressed to focus on training while remembering not to mention the war.
Beyond the favourite though, its going to be a tough prediction and this might be the ideal time to take advantage of one of the many free bets offers available from the huge range of online betting sites. Back down the field there is an abundance of outsiders one of whom may yet reveal a CV containing previously unknown qualities.

Hatton v Mayweather Boxing Betting – can’t wait!
Boxing Betting fans must be drooling in anticipation with their free bets ready for the Hatton v Mayweather Boxing betting event of the year, surely?
Two superb boxers with great records behind them and two distinct styles of boxing but with Hatton the more adaptable fighter. They are also two very different types of personality who command big fan bases to ensure that the fight will be an early sell out.
Sky TV have been doing some interesting preview documentaries on both fighters and I was interested to note how Mayweather, behind all the brash arrogance of his public persona, is actually an intelligent guy who can transfer his brain work into the ring. Looking deeper into the man, he has come from a troubled past, as many fighters have, but there also lies a softer side to him when he talks of his past and how he has learned from what he has been through to be a good father to his children.
Ricky Hatton has been a boxer from a very young age and to me, shows amazing composure during a fight. It is his relaxed demeanour and approachable nature, even with his international status, that makes him such a popular guy in this country. Coupled with this is a world class boxer who has no need for making noise before a bout, he just performs.
It’s a mouthwatering prospect this one, on 12th December it all kicks off, and what I would give to be ringside. The crowd support for both fighters will be as much as you could expect and the excitement of watching two undefeated contestants just adds spark to a sports betting event that doesn’t even need it.
