We always knew it would come to this. Germany Vs England go head-to-head at the 2010 Fifa World Cup. England will resume their One Day International Series against Australia at Old Trafford on the Sunday, 27 June. OK, hands up, whose nervous about this one. Mmm, thought as much. England’s existence in this World Cup is hanging by a very shoogly peg indeed. Much has been written since England’s ‘blunderful’ draw against the USA last Saturday. Debates about whom to play in goal, Ledley King’s injury crisis and who’s best to partner Rooney up front have eaten up the newspaper column inches to what has been a less-than-tepid start to the World Cup.
