Oh, No You Didn’t! Brian is Ultimate Big Brother Favourite

August 31st, 2010 by Paul

Ultimate Big Brother betting has gone into meltdown as UBB favourite, Brian Dowling, continues to see his odds of winning Ultimate Big Brother shorten almost hourly. The BB2 winner has been a livewire since entering the house, his latest catchphrase, “Oh no you didn’t”, has turned into a playground mantra and it is hard to see public opinion for Dowling wavering as the competition increases.

Former, Ultimate Big Brother betting favourite, Chantelle, continues to see her odds drift as she pines for former lover, Preston. Her tearful outbursts are obviously beginning to grate on viewers’ nerves. Chantelle, doesn’t really help herself when she comes out with quotes like the following, “I should have had therapy after my divorce, not plastic surgery.” Underlining she has never really come to terms with her breakup from Preston.

August 26th, 2010 by Paul

Belgian F1 Grand Prix Betting

August 24th, 2010 by Paul

After a summer break the world of F1 betting returns to our smallscreens this weekend over the 27th-29th August with the Belgian F1 grand Prix betting. During the drivers relaxing break we have had Lewis Hamilton fined £228 for his boy-racer stunt of pulling ‘donuts’ in a Melbourne street.

Elsewhere, F1 have confirmed a sponsorship partnership with global financial outfit, ‘USB’. The Swiss bank has not revealed just how much of an outlay they have agreed upon with the F1 management but you can be assured it won’t have come cheap. Sponsoring just one F1 race is estimated between between £5m and £20m.

All attention turns to the Spa Francorchamps circuit, home of the Belgian Grand Prix. The Red Bull pairing of Vettell and Webber are extremely optimistic ahead of the F1 Belgian Grand Prix. German driver, Vettel, stated, “It (Belgian Grand prix circuit) has some of the best corner sections in Formula One, they’re long, fast-flowing and suit our car. We were very competitive in the race there last year.”

Big Brother 11 Final Betting

August 19th, 2010 by Simon

At long last this terrible, terrible, TV show will come to an end in 5 days. If ever there has been a show that has surpassed its sell by date – it is this one. Big Brother has produced some great TV in its time, in fact some classic TV moments, however, those seem like a distant memory as this years effort slowly, withers and dies in front of a band of hardcore fans.

In one last gasp of effort, Channel 4 bosses have decided to give the show the twist of a lifetime – with Ultimate Big brother betting. Where some bright spark producer from C4 decided that ‘enough is enough’ and run a quadruple eviction on Friday night to get rid of these deadwood wannabees and then fill the house with a total of 12 housemates from the last ten years of both Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother. It’s enough to make you weep into your pint.

Spurs Vs Young Boys Betting Preview

August 17th, 2010 by Simon

Tottenham Hotspur are on the brink of earning some big money action when they face Young Boys in Berne tonight in the Champions League play-off first leg. Spurs will be guaranteed at least a minimum £10m if they progress to the group stage. However, they face a stiff test from the Swiss outfit as the Spurs Young Boys Champions League betting begins to heat-up.

Young Boys play on an artificial pitch which could prove a tricky surface for Spurs euro dreams. Harry Redknapp has already left Ledley King at home, preferring not to put the big defenders knees under unnecessary stress on the plastic pitch.

If anything, Spurs should take notice that Young Boys lost just once, out of 18 games, on their home surface last season. Young Boys have also played a Champions League qualifier, where they knocked out Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.

Scottish Premier League Betting 10/11

August 12th, 2010 by Simon

As well as the bick kick off for Premier league betting happening down south this weekend the Scottish Premier League (SPL) also gets underway. Of course, with a dearth of talent from the SPL signing on for Championship teams during the summer months, one wonders what state the Scottish Premier League betting scene has been left in.

Rangers have been rocked by a financial crisis so gripping it has brought the club to its knees. Such is the cash worries that the blue half of Glasgow have not signed a new player in two seasons. Yet, under the wiseful guide of Walter Smith they have won successive Scottish Premier League Championships.

2010 US PGA Betting Preview

August 10th, 2010 by Simon

The 2010 US PGA takes place at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin, between Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th August 2010. Most US PGA golf betting fans will have heard the news that Tiger Woods is no longer the betting favourite ahead of a Majors golf championship.

In fact the deterioration of form on Woods’ part has seen his Ryder Cup place become highly questionable. Currently, Woods is 10th in the United States Ryder Cup team list and misses an automatic selection unless ups his game at the US PGA Championship.

Community Shield 2010 Betting Preview

August 5th, 2010 by Simon

The litmus test for the forthcoming Premier League betting season plays out this Sunday at Wembley Stadium as the 2010 Community Shield gets underway with Chelsea vying against Manchester United. Under the current Premier League set-up, it may surprise you to know that the last 3 years in a row – the Community Shield winners have went on to lift the Premier League title : (Man U 07, Man U 08, Chelsea 09). OK, that’s “Mystic Meg” predictions considering that the Big 4 might become the Big 5 this season – with the arrival of the million pound spending of the blue half of Manchester.

Still, it is hard to see past either Manchester United or Chelsea for the league championship this season once again.

Of course, the Community Shield is nothing more than a “glorified friendly”, but there once was a time when winning the pre-season trophy mattered more than just getting players fight in time for the big league kick-off. The infamous 74 Community Shield final had Liverpool’s, Kevin Keegan, being punched full on the side of the head right in front of the ref – later both Keegan and Billy Bremner of Leeds were given their matching orders for fighting on the park. Or how about the 1993 Community Shield final between Manchester United and Arsenal that had many football betting fans on the edge of their seats at the wizardry skills of a certain Eric Cantona.

August 3rd, 2010 by Simon

The football season is back! This Saturday sees the NPower Championship kick-off and one of the toughest leagues in the World is bound not to dissapoint once again. Last year we saw, surprise package, Blackpool, gain entry into the Premiership alongside Newcastle and West Brom.

Burnley, Hull and Portsmouth were relegated to the Championship and anyone who keeps a close eye on football betting will know that these three clubs have a fight on their hands to automatically bounce back.

Leeds, Norwich and Millwall all came up from League One and must be looking to, at the very least, consolidate their position within the Championship.
