James DeGale v George Groves Betting Preview
Their is definitely no love lost between James DeGale and George Groves. Their rivalry spans back to their amateur days when Groves defeated DeGale and was then shunned from the Team GB boxing squad for the Beijing Olympics where, ironically, DeGale won Gold.
Since then, DeGale, has went on to improve and mature within the boxing world and looks back on his loss to Groves as a besmirch on his fighting CV. On the other hand, Groves still feels hurt about losing his selection place to a boxer he defeated just prior to the Olympics, and has watched on, some would claim bitterly, as the man picked in his place has went on to bigger and better things. Simply put, as grudge matches go, this is up there with the best of them.

Wales v England Betting Preview
John Terry has been rubber-stamped as England’s captain once again as Fabio Capello attempts to build team unity much akin to England’s pre-World Cup form they displayed in the Qualifiers. Some in the media proclaim that the controversial decision will part the England camp like the Red Sea ahead of their important Euro-Qualifier away to Wales on Saturday (Millennium Stadium, Kick Off 3pm).
England have started well in Group G. Wins against Bulgaria and Switzerland showed the team was on the road to recovery after a disatorous World Cup escapade. But then the wheels began to wobble a little when a defiant Montenegro held England to a 0-0 draw at Wembley last October.

Rangers vs Celtic League Cup Final Betting
Cup finals are always special occasions and after the infamous meeting last time Rangers and Celtic met, you can bet that these two Scottish giants will be on their best behaviour – well at least until kick-off anyway.
The League Cup Final takes place at Hampden, Glasgow this Sunday (20th March KO 3PM) and it is bound to be a closely contested match between bitter rivals Rangers and Celtic.
Rangers come in to this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League which seen them crash out of the competition. The Race For The Championship
The 2010/11 Championship season has been one of the most tightest in recent years. With only 9 games left of the season, any one of 6 teams can still claim automatic promotion to footballing mecca that is the Premier League.
QPR, Norwich City, Swansea, Cardiff, Leeds and Nottingham Forest have it all too play for as the Championship heads into the business end of the season.
Currently, QPR, have a 10 point cushion at the top of the table. But QPR must be wringing their hands with worry as they await the outcome from the FA as to what type of punishment will be merited out to the London club. QPR admitted they were guilty of playing Argentinian midfielder, Alejandro Faurlin, despite not owning the players registration. It has been mentioned that the FA will penalise QPR with a heavy fine or points deduction or both.

Ricky Burns vs Joseph Laryea
Current WBO Super-Featherweight champion, Ricky Burns, defends his title at the Braehead Arena this weekend (Saturday 12th March) against determined African challenger Joseph Laryea. It’s the Scottish fighter second defense of the title which he won last September from Roman Martinez. Laryea is talking big of an upset and is confident ahead of the match after defeating fellow Scot, Paul Appleby last December.
Ricky Burns has treated this second defence with upmost respect in places despite his challengers 4 loses in 18 fights record. Although, some will think his public training session at the Braehead shopping centre in the run-up to the match was more Rocky Balboaesque rather than the no-nonsense boxer we have come to expect. I suppose there is nothing wrong in playing up to the media and trying to raise your profile some but when your being talked about becoming your nations best boxing export ever (better than guys like Ken Buchanan, Benny Lynch or Jim Watt) the PR stunts can wait.

Calcutta Cup 2011 Preview
Last time the Scots marched South of the Border and won a game of Rugby at Twickenham we all woke up to Roland the Rat on our TV screens in the morning, Shergar was captured by the IRA and the Tories romped home in a landslide General Election. That 1983 Calcutta Cup victory by the Scots (12-22) saw England end a dismal 5 Nations Championship picking up the unenviable acclaim of Wooden Spoon holders.
Nigh on 30 years later, England are on course for a Grand Slam. Scotland at home (Sunday, 13 March 2011) and Ireland away (Saturday, 19 March 2011) stand in their way.
For those that believe in Omens, the Scots head to Twickenham on the back of 3 straight defeats (France, Wales and Ireland) similar to when they last won the Calcutta Cup back in 1983. OK, perhaps this is grasping at straws in trying to draw conclusions with the current set-up and that famous win 28 years ago. But Scotland have nothing to fear, but everything to prove, as the players will know that a good display could cement their place in the Scots squad for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Plus the added bonus of stopping England’s Grand Slam attempt.

Liverpool vs Man Unt Preview 06032011
Last time these two giants of English football met, Kenny Daglish has just been given the reigns of a Liverpool team that was teetering just above the relegation zone. Liverpool lost that day at Old Trafford to an early Ryan Giggs penalty. Now, almost 2 months later, Daglish has steered Liverpool to a more credible looking 6th place in the Premier League. Man Unt still sit top of the division and are on course to exceed Liverpool’s 18 domestic titles … Which is why this game on Sunday (6th of March) has that extra edge to it.
Both teams are coming off league defeats ahead of the Liverpool vs Man Unt match. Liverpool were humbled at Upton Park in the 3-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham. Man Unt were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea on Tuesday evening – a result that stung Sir Alex Ferguson so much it led to him being charged by the FA for improper conduct after he criticised the ref, ‘Martin Atkinson’.
