Gary Anderson Must Prove He Has The Finishing Quality To Stamp Out The Power
Many have tried and many have failed. Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is still dominating the Premier League Darts as we enter into the 12th week of 14 at Liverpool tonight. It is a mark of greatness that Taylor carries with ease. Lesser men would have faltered after losing his World Championship crown when he crumbled in the quarters. Then on the first night of the 2011 PDC Premier League, Taylor was pummeled 8-2 by Adrian Lewis (the man who took his World Championship crown). The writing was on the wall for Taylor.
But like all good champions, Taylor found that winning was easier than losing and has since won ten Premier League games in a row and become the first man to qualify for the final four at Wembley.

Old Firm Betting Easter Showdown
Over the last few months, Scotland’s top two clubs, the Old Firm of Rangers and Celtic, have been the matter of a number of unsavoury headlines that have had nothing to do with football. Management squaring up to each other on the touchline, parcel bombs being sent to the Celtic management plus other well-known supporters of the club and Rangers face playing next season’s European games behind closed doors or even banned altogether if they are found guilty by UEFA of sectarian singing from some bigoted fans.
Now the Old Firm square up to each other this Easter Sunday in a game that could well decide where the SPL title will be heading. It’s a game, which has had the Strathclyde Police Chief Constable, Stephen House describe it as “The Perfect Storm” and seen the policing resources in the West Coast of Scotland being swelled by over 1,000 extra officers in anticipation to deal with any pre and post-match violence.

What Does The Future Hold For Arsene Wenger?
Arsenal threw away another 3 points at the weekend in their attempt to snatch the Premiership title from the clutches of Manchester United. Arsene Wenger watched from the sidelines as his team allowed Liverpool to score from a penalty in the 13th minute of added time. And as sure as night follows day, Arsene Wenger whinged and moaned about Arsenal’s injustice – he had a go at the referee, the 4th official, even at Kenny Daglish, it seemed everybody was in the firing line except the root of the problem – his own players.
I’ve listened and read a lot of blinkered views from managers in my time but nobody bemoans quite like Arsene. However, it’s getting to the stage where nobody is listening anymore and Wenger is coming across like an unfunny Statler or Waldorf in an expensive suit.

Amir Khan V Paul McCloskey Betting
On announcement, it seemed a straight-forward WBA World Super Lightweight title defense for Amir Khan when he was paired with Irishman, Paul McCloskey, ranked number 10 in the world in this division – yet unbeaten in 22 fights. But out-of-ring squabbling over money between Amir Khan’s family-based management team and fight promoter, Eddie Hearn, has perhaps thrown a spanner in the works.
Khan and his management team have snubbed the decision to show the fight live on Sky Sports 3 instead opting for the American TV pay-per-view channel PrimeTime. It’s been quoted that Khan could lose up to a million pounds from his initial £1.25M purse expected from the fight. That’s a worrying amount of money to vanquish from your bank account ahead of an important fight and must concern the 24 year old Khan how his fights in the future will be promoted.

Chances of Blue or Jedward Winning Eurovision 2011
Between them they have sold millions of records worldwide but this year at Eurovision 2011 they’ll be going head-to-head in an attempt to win national pride at the most pop diva contest on the planet. Yep, Blue and Jedward will be battling it out in the Eurovision 2011 betting odds which takes place in Dusseldorf on 12 May 2011.
Of Course, Jedward will have to make it through a Semi-Final appearance with their song ‘Lipstick’ to make sure they have a chance of a sing-off with the British entrants, Blue. However, given the amount of support for the Grimes twins, it would be a shock if they weren’t in the Final.

Grand National Betting 2011 Goes Into Meltdown
With temperatures hitting the 20′s this weekend and a sell-out crowd at Aintree, the first in almost 30 years, you can be sure that the Grand National 2011 betting scene is going to go into meltdown.
It is estimated that the total prize fund for the most famous jump race in the world is around £950,000 – which is why you get reactions like last years winner, Tony McCoy, after he finished first on Don’t Push It.
The bookies favourite for the 2011 Grand National is The Midnight Club ridden by Ruby Walsh who has had two previous Grand National wins with Papillon (2000) and Hedgehunter (2005). However, it is worth noting that in all the year’s the race has been run – only 11 favourites have ever won the Grand National. Still, 2 of those winning favourites have been in the last 3 years – Don’t Push It (2010) and Comply Or Die (2008) with 100/1 winner, Mon Mome, sandwiched between in 2009 showcasing that the Grand National can always throw a surprise.

Mickelson Favourite To Win The US Masters 2011
April has been a good month for Phil Mickelson, not only did he win the Shell Houston Open last Sunday (April the 3rd) but his victory ensured that he climbed above Tiger Woods in the world golf rankings. Mickelson’s victory in Houston also sends out a strong message to the other competitors ahead of the Golf’s first Major honour up for grabs this year at Augusta.
As most US Masters golf betting fans will be aware, Phil Mickelson has truimphed at the Augusta National Golf Club three times previously, winning the coveted Green Jacket in 2004, 2006 and 2010. Once again he will start as clear bookies favourite ahead of Tiger Woods and Golf’s current number two seed, England’s own Lee Westwood.
