Beckam Staying at Milan is Good News for England 2010

February 5th, 2009 by Simon

David Beckam last night expressed his desire to remain in Milan and by making his feelings public knowledge you can bet the talks between AC Milan and LA Galaxy are already in deep conversation. Certainly, the loan move to Italy has reinvigorated Beckam and his need to be part of England’s quest to win the World Cup in 2010.

LA Galaxy and the Major League Soccer (MLS) will obviously miss brand Beckam, not really for his football qualities but more for the esteem having him associated with the young league in the States brings. Milan, on the other hand, are already stuffed with football superstars, a move to Milan for Beckam is more to do with football than celebrity status.

No doubt, Fabio Capello, wants a focused Beckam in his squad. Capello has the national team playing together confidently for the first time, in a long time. England look strong, and if this continues will be World Cup 2010 betting favourites by the time the tourney kicks off next summer. Beckam playing in Italy will help the player restore his confidence on the park. Beckam heading back to La La land, if the Milan move fails, will no doubt extinguish the restoked fire in the players belly.
