Belgian F1 Grand Prix Betting

August 24th, 2010 by Paul

After a summer break the world of F1 betting returns to our smallscreens this weekend over the 27th-29th August with the Belgian F1 grand Prix betting. During the drivers relaxing break we have had Lewis Hamilton fined £228 for his boy-racer stunt of pulling ‘donuts’ in a Melbourne street.

Elsewhere, F1 have confirmed a sponsorship partnership with global financial outfit, ‘USB’. The Swiss bank has not revealed just how much of an outlay they have agreed upon with the F1 management but you can be assured it won’t have come cheap. Sponsoring just one F1 race is estimated between between £5m and £20m.

All attention turns to the Spa Francorchamps circuit, home of the Belgian Grand Prix. The Red Bull pairing of Vettell and Webber are extremely optimistic ahead of the F1 Belgian Grand Prix. German driver, Vettel, stated, “It (Belgian Grand prix circuit) has some of the best corner sections in Formula One, they’re long, fast-flowing and suit our car. We were very competitive in the race there last year.”

Webber and Vettel split the British duo of Hamilton and Button. There are only 14 points separating F1 leader, Australian, Mark Webber from fourth placed Jenson Button. With 25 pts up for grabs for a win, it is easy to see why this years Belgian F1 Grand Prix Betting is intense.

Hamilton will be looking to get some points back on the board after his dissapointment of retiring early in the Hungarian Grand prix with transmission failure.

It is bound to be an exciting race, and Saturday’s qualifying will be as important as the race itself. A poor qualification place could well see a driver out of the points come the finish at Spa on Sunday and with the margins so tight it is bound to be one of the most open and contested F1 races this season.
