This year saw a record 180 horses pre-entered into the 25th Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park. With 2 new races added bringing the total to 14. Friday will see 5 races competed for and a purse total of $8 million. On Saturday, 9 races will be contested with a combined prize money on offer of $17.5 million. The plumb race on Saturday is the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic.
