Celebrity Big Brother 2010 Betting Odds

January 3rd, 2010 by Paul

So, it finally comes to pass. After 10 years of controversy and cult tv moments the Celebrity Big Brother show begins it’s final 27 days of transmission from tonight, Sunday the 3rd of January 2010.

We’ve had some famous faces and many not-so-famous enter the house throughout the years. Who can forget the entrance by Jackie Stallone or MP George Galloway purring cringely like a cat or when fake celebrity Chantelle and lead singer from Ordinary Boy’s, Preston, fell in love on our tv screens. Of course, primarily, Celebrity Big Brother will always be remembered for the race row between the late ‘Jade Goody’ and Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty.

Big Brother 10 Final Betting Odds

September 1st, 2009 by Simon

And then there were six, well after tonight’s eviction, they’ll be 5 Big Brother housemates left. What with the final looming this Friday (the 4th of September) you can bet none of these pretenders to the throne of BB10 winner will be wanting to be evicted so close to the finishing line. Still, it’s good TV and despite this series of BB being a complete ratings disaster for Channel 4 it’s not really been that bad compared to past BB’s.

Betting Odds BB10

June 9th, 2009 by Simon

Finally, we have new housemates to play with this summer. Big Brother 10 kicked off last Thursday night, when we were introduced to the latest specimens that will be filling our TV and newspaper space over the hopefully up-and-coming balmy summer days and nights. It’s make or break for BB10, with rumours rife that the show may be axed if this year’s current crop of housemates fail to hit the target with the viewing public.

Big Brother 2008 Who Will Win

September 4th, 2008 by Simon

In what must be the closest Big Brother contest ever, there is no clear winner to Big Brother 9. On Tuesday night we saw 2 more housemates, uncerimoniously, voted off the show, Mo and Kat. While Mo (otherwise to be known as Greedy Mo, for the rest of his living days) was no surprise to be given the boot a few eyebrows were raised at the departure of fun-loving, happy housemate Kat. It just might be that the public grew tired of Kat’s, acid-trip 60’s throwback look on life and decided to treat her to a good old dollop of British black humour.

Big Brother 9 The Final Countdown

August 27th, 2008 by Atticus

As Big Brother 9 enters the final furlong, leading to the finishing post on Friday week, big brother betting fans are faced with an unusually bunched field with favourite, Kathreya, unexpectedly falling behind as housemates jostle and elbow each other out of the way to grab the prize of £100,000. After the twins were pipped to the post by Brian in BB8, nothing can be sure, especially when the eccentricities of the public vote are the deciding factor.

Power is up for grabs in the Big Brother house.

July 14th, 2008 by Simon

Big Brother has now passed through its initial familiarisation process where the housemates develop friendships and allegiances resulting in the grouping of individuals into opposing camps with a few neutrals floating between. Big Brother betting has seen these events encouraged this year by the availability of two separate sleeping spaces, the Luxury Bedroom and the more austere, army type sleeping quarters of B Block which is furnished with harder beds and blankets rather than the sumptuous duvets available in the other boudoir.

Recent events, though, have brought about radical change. Apart from the forced departure of Alexandra and Dennis for rule breaking, Jennifer, Sylvia and, crucially, Mario, all incumbents of the Luxury Bedroom, have been evicted by public vote and the dynamics of the house now hang in the balance. Mario was regarded as a mentor figure by some housemates, particularly those in the luxury bedroom and his departure has led to a power vacuum which his disciples want quickly filled before the occupants of B Block mount a coup and attract less committed housemates over to their side. The cause of the Luxury Bedroom has not been helped by the new arrival of Belinda, Belinda, Belinda, whose extraterrestrial snoring has already caused some hasty defections.

Matters are further complicated by the election, imposed by Big Brother, of a Leader of the House. Candidates, Luke, Darnell and Dale have stood and are awaiting the results of the ballot. Each is a strong figure and all made good speeches. Curiously, two did not vote for themselves. Luke, the online bookies favourite male to win outright, is an assemblage of all that is regarded as deeply uncool and, yet, has attracted the most support from online betting fans. Dale, who is handsome, icy and detached, is way down the field. Kat still leads the field outright, on the female front, but may not maintain the pace in the final stages. Rebecca, twice a survivor of the public vote, remains the most reviled of the girls, apart from snoring Belinda, but has a curious charm, plus a bizarre relationship with Luke, that may see her hang in there for a few weeks yet.
