Miss Cassidy was the first housemate to enter the Big Brother house and was immediately set to task as Big Brother gave her an ear-piece and instructed she had to follow BB’s miked instructions or risk losing housemates suitcases.

Natalie didn’t have long to wait for her secret task to begin as the next CBB housemate, a somewhat bewildered Michael Madsen descended down the BB staircase. Natalie was instructed to tell Madsen she was his ‘biggest fan‘ and that she loved him in ‘Free Willy‘ (one of Madsen’s very early acting roles) to which the big American looked even more bemused and immediately took shelter from Cassidy by quenching Champagne in the hope his new ‘east end friend’ might dissapear. And so the evenings entertainment was set.

Watching Natalie Cassidy perform her secret task throughout the night was hugely entertaining and even I took an unexpected shine to Miss Cassidy. When I first caught sight of her entering the house, I blew out a sigh of dissapointment and thought ‘here we go again‘. However, after watching probably the best first night ever, CBB episode, it’s easy to see why Natalie Cassidy has been made early favourite in Celebrity Big Brother Betting.

Others to watch our for during CBB 2012 are Kirk Norcross (of The Only Way is Essex fame), Denise Welch (Loose Women), Gareth Thomas (Welsh Rugby player), Romeo (ex-rapper), Michael Madsen (once cool film actor) and Frankie Cocozza (X-Factor). The rest are just high heels, boobs and swimming cozzies. Oh, and Louis Spence’s dancing bud Andrew Stone.

The twist to this year’s Big Brother phone voting is that Channel 5 have decided that viewers must call to save their favourite housemate – rather than the C4 version of voting to get the person you like least booted out the house.

Kerry Katona was responsible for nominating the other two housemates to go up for the public vote with herself after failing her task to convince the others in the house she was the ‘biggest diva’ – they choose Jedward instead. Now, Kerry could have chosen anyone in the house – so it’s no sursprise really that she selected the ‘low hanging fruit’ in Sally Bercow and Bobby Sabel who could be picked off easily without affecting the balance of the house or upsetting the viewing public. Yep, Kerry’s a game player all right and of course she’ll go through all the nervy ‘it might be me who goes’ act on the eviction show but Kerry knows she’s safe – for now anyway.

Sally Bercow is like a rabbit desperate to try and jump into the glare of the headlights but failing. All week she has been trying to find a role that will put her in the spotlight which means airtime for her to try and save her butt ahead of the eviction. The BIG cleaning debate was her chance to shine but the rutheless exhibitionist just comes across as someone with a point of view on just about everything. Which is why I like her and hope she survives the eviction this week because she’s bound to rub quite a few of these preened housemates up the wrong way.

Bobby Sabel aka Boring Bobby might have the looks and the body but he needs a personality transplant badly. His tact has been to stay in the shadows and barely form a point of view on anything. His only lifeline of surviving the house was to hook up with one of the female housemates – that didn’t work as Amy shunned him and then he went back inside his well groomed shell.

Week 1 Celeb Big Brother 2011 betting has Sally Bercow as favourite for eviction on Friday, closely followed by Bobby Babel. Kerry Katona looks very safe according to the bookies. Charlie, David, Lisa, Rodrigo, Siavash and Sophie are now just days away from claiming that prize fund. Already, there has been some inhouse politico fighting with BB host, Davina McCall, hitting out at C4 bosses for not giving fans of the show what they want – 24hr coverage. C4 hit back claiming that the live feed cost a fortune to maintain in legal costs alone, never mind paying for the cost of streaming the housemates 24/7 for nigh on 12 weeks.

As of yet, there has been no concrete statement as to who will be appearing in the show but rumours are abound that the following celebrities (I use this word loosely) may be making an appearnce : Whitney Houston the former 80′s pop diva, Tommy Sheridan the outspoken socialist politician, Terry Christian form The Word, Ian Wright the Arsenal legend and a few Page 3 glamour girls have been touted for good measure.

Hopefully, these, erm, celebrities will behave and we can sit back and watch them entertaining ourselves with their many hidden talents. Don’t hold your breath on that one.
