Miss World Betting Odds 2009

November 26th, 2009 by Simon

miss worldFrom its inception, back in 1951, it’s been attacked by femenists, criticised by the media, boycotted by countries, has had all its participants seek “World Peace”, it is of course, “Miss World”.

To understand just how powerful this beauty pageant is, try this fact -Miss World still brings in massive television audiences around the globe. It’s estimated that the viewing figures are around 2 billion that’s one third of the World’s population watch the crowning ceremony.

With over 100 countries represented, there is some fervour in the Miss World betting stakes. Top favourites to win the Miss World pageant this year is between Miss Peurto Rica, Miss Mexico and Miss South Africa (coming from the host nation counts for something in this competition). Of course with such a bevvy of beauties on display there undoubtedly will be a few others that will catch the judges eye.

November 12th, 2009 by Paul

im-a-celebrityIt’s the show that gives you the willies as you watch things that are creepier than the creepiest thing imaginable crawl all over a C-List Celebrities head. Yep it’s “I’m A Celebrity Get me Out Of Here 2009” and it starts this Sunday the 15th of November at 9pm on ITV1. The line-up was revealed late last night on the official celebrity website and today we are publishing the bookies early I’m A Celebrity betting odds, so you can pick your favourite while the odds are still pretty generous.

This year’s show has a head-scratching line-up, with a couple of names I’m not familar with, such as Camilla Dallerup (Strictly Come Dancing) who has a ‘creepy crawly’ phobia which if your going to try and beat such a said phobia then this is the show to do it in. Others that vaguely ring a bell are Gino D’Acampo (Chef), Sabrina Washington (Singer) and Stuart Manning (Actor from Hollyoaks).

Grobbelaar Quits Hell’s Kitchen

April 23rd, 2009 by Simon

It’s been a traumatic week in Hell’s Kitchen as the pressure of the competition rises. However, one major shocker was the quitting of the show by former Liverpool goalkeeper, and bookies favourite to win the competition, Bruce Grobbelaar. The 51-year-old offered himself up for eviction, instead of one the remaining competitors being sacked, stating that he wanted to be reunited with his wife as his reason for leaving.

I

December 5th, 2008 by Atticus

Last week I predicted that the final four in this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here’ would be Esther Rantzen, George Takei, Joe Swash and Martina Navratilova. This was before Esther finally cracked over the fire incident and health and safety issues and revealed her true character. My prediction also preceded David Van Day’s bizarre but funny antics after the dreadful, false-bosomed Nicola was ejected. Clearly the viewers were less than impressed with Esther and more than bemused with the hugely entertaining David.

Kilroy

November 28th, 2008 by Simon

In an encouraging display of good taste and fine judgement, the British public has dumped Euro MP, Robert Kilroy-Silk from ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’. On the first eviction day, to his amazement, he was forced to trudge out of camp with his customary bewilderment at people’s failure to grasp what a fabulous person he is. Everyone though the bland, one-dimensional Brian Paddick would be first out but clearly the people enjoy the spectacle of campers being bored to death by him.

John Sergeant Kicks Off His Dancing Shoes

November 20th, 2008 by Simon

In what must be one of the strangest decisions of the week, John Sergeant resigned from participating in the BBC ballroom dancing competition, Strictly Come Dancing, because it looked like he might win the thing. Each week millions laughed and giggled at John’s fumbled dancing routines. A nation took this man to their heart as he entertained. All the while the judges on the show sat fuming and spat acidic remarks towards Mr Sergeant’s dancing style.

I’m A Celebrity Get Me In There

November 17th, 2008 by Atticus

It’s back to the jungle with a new crop of career struggler’s and unknown ‘celebrities’ for the new series of ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!’, otherwise known as ‘I’m Not A Celebrity – Get Me In There’. This show is a bit like ‘Big Brother’ TV Betting only it’s shorter and some of the contestants have articulacy. It’s a lot more appealing because the character flaws and strengths that the characters gradually reveal over the three weeks they are in there are more interesting and are more relevant to our everyday lives.
