Latest Eurovision Betting News

The second semi-final for the Eurovision Song Contest kicks off tonight where 17 countries will compete for the last remaining 10 places in Saturday’s showpiece final in Oslo. Eurovision betting fans will have no doubt noticed that Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova, Russia, Greece, Portugal, Belarus, Serbia, Belgium, Albania and Iceland all qualified for Saturday’s final from the 1st semi-final. They will join the big four of United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain and hosts Norway.

Tonight’s semi sees bookies favourite, Azerbaijan, take to the stage alongside Lithuania, Armenia, Israel, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, Ireland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Georgia, and Turkey.

Irish hopeful, Niamh Kavanagh, who won the Eurovision Song Contest back in 1993, will be signing a ballad called, It’s For You. The bookies think Niamh has a great chance of reaching the final on Saturday and fair chance of winning the whole thing all over again, best odds of 25/1 with Blue Square.

2010 Eurovision Song Contest Betting

Hei, Norway“. If your watching the TV around the 29th of this month, you’ll hear that a lot, an awful lot. Yes, it’s that time of the year again to splash on the Brut, push back the couch, invite some friends over, throw the car keys in a bowl .. err, sorry, getting carried away there.

It’s none other than the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest (ok, don’t all clap at once) and this year the UK is looking to improve on last year’s best performance for over a decade, we finished 5th, with our Eurovision entry this year sung by Josh Dubovie (19 years old) and written by Pete Waterman (age unknown).

British Eurovision Chances 2009

It’s here, again! The Eurovision Song Contest comes live from Moscow this Saturday on BBC1 at 8pm. 42 countries will participate in 2 semi finals, where 25 countries will then proceed to the final on Saturday night. The first semi-final will take place tonight and the second semi on Thursday night. British hopeful, Jade Ewen, will be signing “It’s My Time” penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber, who knows a thing or two about music, but this is The Eurovision, where music sometimes takes a second place to political voting.
