March heralds the start of another exciting Formula One season. Bahrain hosts the big start on Sunday the 14th of March and this year looks to be a close fight between McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari. Williams, Sauber and Renault will no doubt play their part in this years F1 Championship as well. The good thing is, we are starting this seasons campaign without all the neg press that was hanging over the sport this time last year.
Of course, we welcome back a Formula 1 great in Michael Schumacher, who’ll be driving for Brawn-Mercedes. Jenson Button, last years winner, joins forces with Lewis Hamilton as the pair go all out to make hat-trick of F1 successes for Britain. Fernando Alonso joins forces with the fit again Felipe Massa at Ferrari. Red Bull have a seriously srtong pairing in Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber who both finished 2nd and 4th respectively last season.

Richard Branson and the Virgin Group are deep in talks about buying Honda’s Formula 1 team. With the new season beckoning (29th March) it is hopeful that Honda and Virgin can quickly come to some arrangement before deadlines are reached. Honda is currently for sale at the price of £1.00 but any buyer would need around £40 million to bankroll the team for just 1 season. If no deal is reached then Honda would need to get rid of their Formula 1 team, around 700 employees including British driver Jenson Button.
