Man City Man Unt Betting Preview

November 9th, 2010 by Simon

The biggest game of the Premier league betting season is about to explode on to our screens on Wednesday, the 10th of November! The Manchester Derby, red vs blue, call it what you like, but Manchester City vs Manchester United is a rivalry that has grown in intensity as City have grown in stature over the recent years. Of course Man City fans have always seen the Derby as a way to grab some bragging rights over their more esteemed neighbours, Man Unt. However, many will be observing this game to see if their is a real shift of power happening in Manchester – City have the money, the stadium, the players, the manager to look Man Unt in the eye for the first time in a long time and claim themselves to be the new Kings of Manchester.

Looking at the game, both teams have struggled to find that real killer instinct over the last few weeks. City went on a 3 game losing streak before eventually overcoming West Brom at the weekend. That sparked a mini crisis at the City of Manchester where there was actual papertalk about Roberto Mancini being replaced. new territory for the Eastlands club, but that is the price you pay when you beging to challenge the big boys for the trophies.

Murray Spreads His Reach For US Open Glory

July 27th, 2010 by Simon

In just a little over a month’s time the final of the Mens Tennis Majors gets underway at Flushing Meadows, New York. Yes, the 2010 US Open betting is the final chance for Andy Murray to claim a Grand Slam (well, for this year, anyway). Looking back at Murray’s Wimbledon semi-final exit you tend to feel that the big Scotsman is just unlucky to be playing tennis at a time when there are others whom are just a step-above anything Murray can bring to a game.

Signs that Roger Federer is beginning his slide down from that grateful height he has risen to in those seven outstanding years where he dominated the game are evident. Murray could have won Wimbledon except he had to beat Nadal. And although Murray gave it his best, it just was never good enough to overcome the classy Spaniard.

Now, it’s hard court time at the US Open, a game much more suited to Murray’s style.

7 Days To Go Election Betting 2010

April 29th, 2010 by Paul

The third and final Leaders debate takes place tonight on BBC1 and Gordon Brown will once again be hooked up to a microphone but they’ll be no “bigoted woman” thrust in front of him just David Dimbleby. Yep, this week has been one of extreme pain for the Prime Minister and his party.

In a week when we had scientists proclaiming they had found Noah’s Ark, again, we also had kids tv favourite, Peppa Pig, snubbing a Labour party launch. Believe me, when a cartoon character starts giving you the cold shoulder, you can safely say the writing is on the wall for Labour.

But the best was yet to come for Labour and Brown. In an extraordinary gaffe, the Prime Minister, forgot he was hooked up to a radio microphone and after some tepid questioning by Rochdale pensioner, Gillian Duffy, she fired off the immigration silo, to which Brown batted away expertly, it has to be said. But once Brown took shelter in the comfort of his chauffered car, he went on a mini rant and eventually called Mrs Duffy a “bigoted woman” forgetting he was still miked up.

African Cup Betting Odds

January 19th, 2010 by Simon

With the Africa Cup of Nations 2010 heading towards the quarter-final knockout stages, it’s looking more certain that the eventual winners of the tournament will come from either Egypt, Ivory Coast or Algeria. With the Ivory Coast on a collision course with Algeria in the quarter finals. Cameroon and Nigeria could become stronger as the competition progresses, but looking at their opening performances, both teams lack any real evidence that their names are destined to be etched on the trophy come the final game.
