Amelia Lily, Marcus Collins and Little Mix are the three acts who will battle it out, in front of 10,000 screaming fans at Wembley Arena over the weekend, to be rightfully crowned as X-Factor winner 2011. The acts will all perform on Saturday night, and then on Sunday evening the X-Factor winner will be revealed.

Current X-Factor betting odds favour Tulisa’s group, Little Mix. This is despite the group crumbling on the live semi final show last weekend. It does, however, highlight the fanbase the girl group have built since the live shows aired a couple of months back. The group claim they’re close and have bonded well with their female fanbase (something which has never happened with girl groups on the X-Factor before). But will they be the next Bananarama or fizzle out like Atomic Kitten?

Former X-Factor betting favourite, Marcus Collins, has wobbled over the last few weeks. Gary seems determined to show off his singing voice while you get the feeling that Marcus just wants to sing like Stevie Wonder and dance like James Brown (he does both very well) while on stage. There seems to be a current market for 60′s R&B just now and you get the feeling Marcus would do extremely well in this genre. But as for X-Factor winner, I’m not sure.

Amelia Lily, is the last of Kelly’s girls standing. Personally, I would have preferred Misha B to be singing in the final than Amelia. Unlike Lewy, ‘I’m not Amelia’s biggest fan’! Sure, she can sing, she can hold a note and she does look like a ready-made ‘popstar’ but there’s something missing. Perhaps, it’s the fact she came back halfway through the show after Frankie was booted out, I’m not sure but there is a real lack of connection going on.

My personal choice on who’ll win this year’s show, is in the same train of thought as the current bookies placings on the X Factor Live Final Betting odds.

1st. Little Mix

Well, we finally said goodbye to Kitty last week before she belted out her farewell bawl and got bear-hugged by Lady GaGa at which point the pair of them then went off to get headless (sorry, legless) in under an hour. Kitty’s departure means that Louis has no acts left in the competition with still a handful of live shows remaining.

So, who are we left with and who is likely to go in this week’s X Factor Elimination Odds?

Well, we have Craig Colton (who revealed that all the remaining contestants recorded the winners single this week). Misha B, who has reverted to opening her heart and revealing her tough and difficult upbringing in a bid for the songstress to win favour with the viewers. Opinionated Janet Devlin has voiced she’d like Gary Barlow as her mentor, driving an even bigger void between her and Kelly Rowland. Little Mix have the backing of previous X-Factor winner, Joe McElderry – somehow, I don’t see his army of blue rinsed pensioners voting for the urban pop group – nice try though, Joe! It’s just as well Amelia Lily is a thick skinned teenager because if rumours of resentment are true about her ‘reinstatement’ then the kid is in for a tough time. Finally, there’s Marcus Collins, who has just found his groove on the show yet he’s berated by the judges for being ‘too predictable’!

With Misha B having found herself in the bottom 2 twice, she’s now favourite to leave the show according to the latest X-Factor Elimination Odds. Likely candidate to join her in this week’s bottom 2 will come from Janet Devlin, Craig Colton and Little Mix.

If Amelia can perform like she did last week, she’ll just get stronger and stronger one feels and it now looks like a slug out between Amelia and Marcus to win this year’s X-Factor.

It doesn’t look good for X-Factor hopeful – Frankie Cocozza – this weekend as the big news from X-Factor bosses is that there will be a double elimination this weekend. According to the latest X-Factor elimination odds both Frankie and Kitty Brucknell (probably the most talented act in this year’s show) are likely to get the boot from the voting public this weekend.

Now, of-course, this is the X-Factor and Frankie was a well backed favourite to get eliminated last weekend – but he survived and Sophie Habibis left the show instead after a sing-off against Misha B. Frankie nor Kitty weren’t even in the bottom two.

This week’s song choice is ‘club classics’ which would suit Little Mix, Marcus Collins and Kitty you’d think. Those that look a bit shaky in this category are statuesque Craig Colton – the boy might be able to hit a tune but I’ve seen 90 year old pensioners move around better than him (Plus what’s with that quiff?). Then there’s Janet Devlin, she probably performed her worst effort so far on last week’s show and I’m not sure how she’ll handle an up tempo track. But she’s popular and this year’s show is much more like a popularity contest than a signing one. Now, you can start to get a sense as to why the X Factor elimination odds are quite hard to predict this year.

Considering everything I’ve just said – I’m not sure Frankie will go this week – he’s built up a rather solid fanbase with his off-screen antics. The boy has over 275,000 followers on Twitter. OK, perhaps this is a rather crude way to determine his X-Factor survival odds but this is the demographic X-Factor market itself towards. Compare Frankie’s Twitter followers to Kitty’s (2,419) or even X-Factor favourite Janet Devlin (193,000) it proves he’s popular, plus his X-Factor elimination odds are drifting to boot.

When you weigh everything up, it all points to another shock exit for one of the other contestants this week. Misha B or Johnny Robinson will perhaps join Kitty in being eliminated from the X-factor this weekend despite her being the best act on the show by a country mile this year.

X Factor Elimination Betting Week 3

Last week we said goodbye to boy band – Nu Vibe – after they were voted off by the judges after a sing-off against Frankie Cocozza. Neither act had really shone on the Saturday show, so it was fitting that these two should be placed in the bottom two of the public vote.

This week, their has been plenty of press about the X-Factor in the media – all bad! Seemingly, Simon Cowell is furious thanks to rating figures showing the show has dropped almost 2 million viewers plus producers have told the acts to up their game after branding them lazy during rehersals.

Of course, for the 1st time the US show is being broadcasted on ITV2 and ITV4 and after watching the American version of X-Factor – I’m pretty jealous of the talent they have performing on it compared to our bunch.

Onto to this week’s X Factor Elimination Betting preview. There are 3 acts which are dangling over the precipice this weekend. Frankie Cocozza is most definetely one, this boy will have to bring something special to the Saturday night live show to make sure he’s safe from elimination on Sunday night. All this paper talk of sexual conquests are no doubt fuelling his attempt to appear like some modern day Rod Stewart but when the singing talent is lacking you’re just left with a young lad doing laddish things in front of the British press.

Johnny Robinson is now staring to make me cringe – his rendition of Kylie last week had me wondering if someone had slipped somthing into my drink. What was that exactly!!! Now, we have rumours that squeeky voiced Johnny will be singing the Darknesses track ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ – are we just waiting for the show when Johnny sings one of the high pitched BeeGee numbers for The World to just implode.

Finally, we have big hearted Sami Brookes who is favourite this week to go in the X Factor Elimination Betting. If she can’t reach the heights this weekend I fear Sami will be on that Cruise Ship quicker than she expected.

There is another act which I’m desperate to see perform this week, and that’s Kitty Brucknell (the diva without a deal). Here’s someone who is embracing her time on the show, ok she’s as wacky as they come but Kitty has stage precence. OK, she’s not going to win any popularity contests which means her stay in the X-Factor will be a very short one indeed. But she’ll be safe this weekend at least. Johnny to go!

X Factor Elimination Betting Week 2

After last week’s somewhat callous but inevitable cull, the X-Factor opens its telephone lines to the public vote this weekend. Despite the dramatic Judges choice to vote off one of their own acts, which to be quite honest, were never going to win the singing competition, we still have some very dubious ‘talent‘ left who aren’t quite suited to survive the stifling poposphere pressure which is the X-Factor betting 2011.

Looking at the ones that survived from last week, the fact that the judges are beginning to feel the need to ‘manufacture’ Groups from rejected individuals is a very worrying trend indeed. The outcome of it may mean that Groups who are thinking about auditioning for future X-Factor shows will decide to give it a very wide berth indeed. In fact the ‘Groups’ could be a very extinct feature in a few seasons to come if they carry-on with their current manufactured meddling!

Right, gripes out the way, let’s focus on who/whom are the favourites to sing their final swansong this weekend.

Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos must be sweating ahead of this weekend. Both have the weakest acts, without doubt, and are highly featured in the X-Factor Elimination Betting.

For Tulisa, Nu Vibe and Rhythmix (both given birth by the Greek Goddess) are hot X-Factor elimination betting favourites to exit this weekend. Despite her excitement that a group will win this year, it’s kinda’ ironic that her artificial singing brood are so lowly considered by the bookies. Her only safe-bet is that ‘The Risk’ actually look, feel and can sing like a group which belongs together. Nu Vibe do not and Rhythmix given X-factor’s history with girl groups are possibly a couple of shows away from elimination.

Louis has the double-edged sword of Kitty Brucknell to contend with. Here’s a girl who can sing, yet acts like she’s already had a few platinum selling hits in her bag. You feel that one bad live perfomance and Miss Brucknell will be out on her derriere. Johnny doesn’t fare much better either. Sure, he’s funny and has a weird voice that can carry a tune – he’s almost Wagneresque – but he’s probably on the wrong show – better suited to BGT than X-Factor one feels. Then there is Sami Brookes another big personality yet I’m not sure the British public will keep her safe for very long.

Have you been tuned in at the weekend, over the last few weeks of Summer, as the X-Factor returned to our screens with the audition shows? Of course it has been all-change on the judging panel as Gary Barlow, Kelly Rowland, Tulisa Contostavlos become the new faces of the show alongside ol’ hounddog himself – Louis Walsh.

So far, X-Factor 2011 seems slicker than previous productions. More time has been spent on focussing on those that can actually sing – however, it wouldn’t be the X-Factor audiotion shows without the necessary peppering of those auditionees which seem a bit deluded or are just physically tone deaf.

This weekend we get to find out who has made it through Boot Camp and it seems this part of the show has also undergone an overhaul. Those that made it through the auditions will be expected to strut their stuff in dance classes, discover their song writing potential and then perform at Wembley Arena. Boot Camp is no place for bottlers and usually you’ll find that someone whom you thought stood a chance after the auditions suddenly crumbles and their dream of winning X-Factor 2011 is over!

Early X-Factor 2011 betting indicates that this year it’s going to be about the Girls. Janet Devlin, Amelia Lily and Jade Richards were just outstanding during the X-Factor 2011 auditions. Marcus Collins and Frankie Cocozza are the Boys betting favourites (however, I do feel that a certain Master Cocozza’s conquests will come back to bite him erm.. on the bum). For the groups look towards The Keys (however, a certain group has appeared on X-Factor betting that wasn’t present during the auditions – Rhythm Mix – is this another manufactured at Boot Camp effort?) . The Overs have Sami Brookes.

Of-course, there are plenty of side bets aside from the winner of X-Factor 2011 betting. Which judge will have the winning category for example.

As far as we understand it at Free betting Online the judges have the following categories…

Gary Barlow – Boys
Kelly Rowland – Girls
Louis Walsh – Over 25′s
Tulisa Contostavlos – Groups

On Sunday night, after a rollercoaster 5 months, we’ll eventually have our new X-Factor 2010 winner. Either Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction or Cher Lloyd will win the coveted title plus a million pound recording contract and surely a crack at the Christmas Number One with the ‘Winners Song’.

I’m not too sure how the format of the 2010 X Factor Final will run, given the controversial decisions over the last couple of weeks, neither does those that work on the show either. Just ask Dermot O’Leary, who introduces the show, how fast the game changes day-to-day. Probably the 4 finalists will perform on Saturday, then at the beginning of Sunday’s show the finalist with the lowest vote will leave, another round of songs, then the person placed 3rd will leave and that will leave us with the top two performing their version of the 2010 X Factor ‘Winners Song’ before the final announcement is made. I think!

The 2010 X Factor Final Betting has Matt cardle favourite (best bet of 10/11 from Sky Bet) followed by Liverpool songstress, Rebecca Ferguson (best bet of 3/1 from Victor Chandler) with boyband One Direction (best bet of 10/3 from Bet 365) not far behind and finally teenage Diva, Cher Lloyd (best bet of 41/1 from Betfair) completes the final line-up.

You can tune in to this weeks show from Saturday on ITV 1 from 7pm and then for the 2010 X Factor Final announcement on Sunday night from 7:30pm.

The X-Factor finally grew up last Sunday evening and got rid of both Katie Waissel and Wagner Carrilho in a double eviction showdown. How on earth these two lasted 8 weeks on the show is anything beyond extraordinary – but it just goes to show how controversial the X-Factor 2010 betting has become this year. Perhaps, the show might be a little boring without these two characters – but, you know what? I can live with that!

On to Saturday’s live X Factor Semi Finals betting where the remaining 5 acts will fight it out to sing in next weeks grand Final. The remaining 5 acts are Matt Cardle, One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson, Cher Lloyd and Mary Byrne (or Marydoll as my Father has grown to affectionately call her).

Matt remains out-and-out favourite, with best betting odds of 8/11 from William Hill. Overall Matt’s performances throughout the show have been head and shoulders above the rest – OK, he has had a few wobbles along the way but even these less than 100% perfect performances still rank high above the rest, such is the magnitude of this lad’s talent.

One Direction, I’m not sure about this group. Reason being, I’m still convinced there was some miming/vocal shenanigans, going on in earlier shows. Sure they’re ‘manufactured‘ – and are the complete opposite of JLS, however, I’ve no doubt they’ll become ‘the next big boy band’, but as for X-Factor winners – can’t see it myself.

Rebecca Ferguson is a very contemporary singer with a voice I could listen to all night. I’m not overwhelmed by Rebecca’s stage precence, though. Waggling your fingers in the air seems the pinnacle of Miss ferguson’s choreography skills… Still she has ‘The Voice’.

#market(xfactorwhoseootnext)#

The 2 acts who I fear will not see past Sunday night’s Live X-Factor Semi Final show are Mary Byrne and Cher Lloyd. I don’t think Mary has enough followers to grant her access in to the X-Factor final next week and Cher, although might have the fan base, seems to be putting a wedge between herself and those at home watching the show. Fair enough she’s young and will be moulded with a better PR image in years to come but the angst and stroppy teenage attitude overshadows her unique performances.

The latest X Factor Semi Finals betting odds on all acts are below…

Once again the voting on the X-Factor last week surprised many with Cher Lloyd and wildcard, Paije Richardson, finding themselves in the bottom two. Cher, survived, just. However, according to a latest poll, currently running on the Ladbrokes site, things are not as straight-forward as they seem in the X-Factor betting stakes.

The poll suggests that longtime favourite, Matt Cardle will win the X-Factor with 29% of the voting public. But close behind on 26%, and growing every week, is Wagner Carrilho, the karate kicking Brazilian who sings like he’s in pain. Backing from the public, albeit thanks to online groups determined to get one over on Mister Cowell, has seen Wagner’s odds fall from 60/1 to 7/1 in the last few weeks.

Surprise, most of all from last week, was the rebirth of Katie Waissel, sporting a new hairdo and actually singing a decent performance without all the hullaballo of recent weeks. This ‘plain jane‘ approach seemed to work and Katie eased through in to the X-Factor Week 8 show. Will Miss Waissel be able to contain herself this week and once again prove she has a decent voice or will the fame-hungry monster from within reveal itself and put on another Marmite performance?

#market(xfactorwhoseootnext)#

Rumours seem to be growing that boy band, One Direction, mimed last week’s performance. Certainly, this was brought up in conversation as the group performed “live” to a TV audience, last Saturday night. But we thought, ‘Surely, not. Miming on a live show?’ An X-Factor spokesperson released this comment, “All Saturday night competitive performances are performed and sung live by the contestants.” Mmm, I wonder!

So, who is favourite for elimination this week? Cher? Mary? Katie? Rebecca? It’s definitely going to be a female contestant, that’s for sure. Wagner, One Direction and Matt have too much support to go at this stage. So one of the girls it is then. But which one? All will be revealed come Sunday evening. I’m going for a Cher vs Katie X-Factor sing-off – now, that would be interesting.

It’s to be Beatles night this Saturday for the X Factor final 8 contestants. If you cringed as to what some (majority) of the contestants did to Elton John classics in last weeks show then expect the same punishment to be measured out against Britain’s greatest ever pop export – The Beatles. No doubt, the X Factor will become the Katie & Wagner show after Saturday’s performance. Until these two are properly dealt with and booted off the show we won’t have a signing competition.

How is it possible that a singer can be in the bottom two, four times out of six, and still the judges keep her in. Because it is all about the ratings, that’s how. They spin it around and say it went to deadlock and that the public decided … yadayadayada! X-Factor is now so see-through because the thought of having both Katie and Wagner in the competition anymore is wearing thin.

#market(xfactorwhoseootnext)#

Remember the good old days when the X factor betting was all about singing – I mean we had some decent talent entertain us every weekend. Now, it’s all about causing a media frenzy, generating headlines for all the wrong reasons as Cowell put it himself, “I’d rather have them talk about us than not.” Perhaps, even this article is proof that his plan is working.

However, one good thing about the next couple of weeks is that perhaps the public will finally get what they wish for. If you do the maths, you’ll see that there are 8 contestants left with about 3 shows left till the final. Normally, we have three in the Grand Live Final, so that would mean there has to be a double eviction to happen at least twice to trim the numbers down. However, they’ve changed and played around with the format so much this year that it won’t come as a surprise if they also change the Final format as well.

This is a crucial week for X-Factor finalist Katie Waissel after the debacle of last week’s live Sunday show. Many X factor betting punters were left open-jawed when Cheryl Cole refused to do the job she’s paid to do and judge. It let the show become wrapped amid new fixing claims controversy and of course that wannabe crooner, Katie Waissel, would survive another week.

Now, as the X-Factor becomes in danger of losing any sort of respect it has left with the viewing public, surely it will be looking to redeem itself in the eyes of the watching TV audience.

Katie Waissel and Wagner are the sideshow acts for the X-Factor. One is being devilfied as the public’s No.1 hate figure and the other is a jester with a microphone. Neither has a chance of winning the show, although Wagner could if support continues to grow in a bid to shove two fingers up at Mr Cowell.

#market(xfactorwhoseootnext)#

The expected backlash will come this weekend. It’ll be interesting to see what Katie Waissel’s performance will be this week. If she’s in the bottom two come Sunday night, and I’ll bet my grannies teeth she will be, what snake-charming song will she perform this time around to plead to the judges to keep her in the competition.

We all know that the X-Factor is just a bit of weekend television, a light hearted escapism from the real worries outside our doorstep, but that doesn’t mean it should forget the millions of people who cough up each week with phone votes to help keep their favourite in the competition. When this is side-stepped all in the name of publicity and newspaper headlines then the show takes on another dimension. You’re left with the feeling you’ve just watched something steeped in iniquity and must now go for a hot bath to wash away it’s wrongdoing.

My bet is the X-Factor will cleanse itself of Miss Waissel this weekend either that or the X-factor is in danger of eating itself.

It seems our nations favourite “singing competition” has another Jedwardesque twist in its tail. Wagner, a Brazilian-born throwback from an Austin Powers era is causing quite a bit of a stir. X-Factor 2010 betting is now showing the singer as being best bet to win 33/1 from Bet365 down from 80/1 from last week. Such is the kerfuffle surrounding an online group determined to keep Wagner in the competition that the credibility of the show could be put at risk. I guess the words “Pot, Kettle, Black” will not be lost on the shows producers.

Before anyone starts to say that this “online group” will run out of steam, they are the same people who kept last year’s X-Factor winner Joe McElderry from reaching Christmas No 1, opting for Rage Against The Machine instead. They know how to create a buzz online, they understand the power of social sites such as Twitter and Facebook, and they are really serious about making Wagner the 2010 X-Factor winner come December.

Granted, the majority of people who watch the X-Factor will be up in arms about the continued presence of Wagner. Even X-Factor judge Louis Walsh seems perplexed as to what the show represents. When Mary Byrne sings, whom Louis mentors, he waxes lyrical about this ‘being a singing contest‘ … Yet with Wagner, he says “it’s all about entertaining!” Well, he would have to, wouldn’t he? I mean, this is the man that released Jedward upon us all and quite frankly for that alone, Louis Walsh should be deported and never allowed back near these shores again!

Which moves us along very nicely as to whom will be leaving the show this week. Frankly, there is no chance Wagner will go, no matter how bad his “singing” … which leaves us looking at the other X-Factor weak acts on the show. Personally, I would be chuffed if Katie Waissel was voted out, yet I expect her to be around for a few weeks, unfortunately. All eyes will fall on the girl group, Belle Amie, who seem to be clinging on by their fake fingernails. Paije Richardson and Treyc Cohen might also be in the bottom 2 come Sunday. If it is Treyc, then expect to see her X-Factor dream come to an abrupt end.
