Christmas No 1 2008 Betting

Is it possible for an artist to reach the No 1 position in the charts this Christmas time and NOT be the X-Factor winner? Judging previous form it looks highly doubtful. The last 3 years has seen the singing contest, X-Factor, claim the Christmas No 1 position. Also, ex X-Factor winner, and now diva in her own right, Leona Lewis releases a very good remake of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’. Take That and Boyzone are also in the mix. Bob the Builder is back and the smart cookies at the record labels have re-released old favourites such as Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’, The Pogues, ‘Fairytale Of New York’, into the download chart only.
