Looking at the headlines this morning it seems that very few people think this is a rash move by Ferrari and Schumacher, quite the opposite in fact, the news of Schumacher’s return has been greated very positively set against a very turbulent season for Formula One.

The question on many Formula One betting fans lips now is, “Can he Win?”

Schumacher has kept himself frequently busy within the sport since he retired back in 2006. He is an advisor for Ferrari, on a reported £4 million a year salary, competed as a motorcycle racer and was unmasked as ‘The Stig’ on the popular Top Gear TV program (well even if it was just for that one program).

Ferrari have undoubtedly got supreme trust in Schumacher, as they have selected him over their other two reserve drivers – a massive leap of faith. In just over 3 weeks we will soon have our answer, as Schumacher competes in the Spanish Grand Prix. Whatever the result, the decision has been a welcome one and it is great at last to see so much positive headlines being written about the sport once again.
