Scottish Grand National 2010 Betting

April 15th, 2010 by Paul

I’ve always had a soft spot for Ayr racecourse, especially as it’s just up the road from myself, but when Ayr hosts the Scottish Grand National the famous old course gets even more special.

With breaking news that early favourite, Chief Dan is out of the Scottish Grand National betting it leaves Cheltenham Festival winner, Poker De Sivola, as the out-and-out early favourite.

Meanus Dandy is another horse to keep an eye on, the seven-year-old owned by Paul Nicholls comes in at second-favourite. Another horse that has seen it’s odds shortening is ‘Gone To Lunch’ although it last won back in Dec 08 and hasn’t been placed in it’s last 5 races since a 2nd in April of last year.

My prediction for the 2010 Scottish Grand National is ‘Scots Dragoon’ (currently 16/1 from 25/1), the eight year old has been placed in the top 2 of its last 5 races.
