Spurs Once Had A Dream, Now Their Living A Nightmare
My first ever FA Cup Final that I watched with keen interest was back in 1980. It was an FA Cup replay that was set to make the name of Ricky Villa live on forever in FA Cup History. The 80′s were a glorious decade for Tottenham Hotspur. They bagged the UEFA Cup back then as well when the competition was still one of the toughest to win. They always brought players to the club that had quality such as Ardiles, Waddle, Hoddle, Lineker, archibald, Allen … to name a few. Spurs are a proud club and it must be hurting them today to look at the Premiership table and see just how far they have dropped.

Football betting fans are aware that the Premiership is a marathon and not a sprint, so understand that it is far too early in the season to be making wild accusations. Looking at Spurs sitting bottom in the league after just 4 games with 1 point to their credit (a score draw away to Chelsea) is more frustration to their fans than panic. They are supposed to be breaking into the top pack not getting themselves dogged down at the wrong end of the table.
Spurs in Europe May Be Just The Tonic
Spurs next 5 games, sees them in action in the UEFA cup twice against Wisla Krakow, which may well be a welcome break for the players away from the stresses of the Premiership. Sandwiched in between those games they play Wigan (Home), Newcastle (Away), Portsmouth (Away). 3 very different ties. They need to beat Wigan at home to restore pride in the team, Newcastle are themselves self-destructing (it is becoming a habit with Newcastle) and a very tricky tie away to Portsmouth, with a certain Jermain Defoe, scoring goals for fun.
If Spurs ever feel the need to wake up from the nightmare start they better start doing it real soon. Or another season will pass by and mediocrity looms.
