The Champions League Semi Finals 2nd Leg Betting

Barcelona (1) Vs Inter Milan (3) (2nd Leg, Wednesday the 28th of April 2010)

Ok, hands-up who saw that result coming last week. I know I hinted at the 1st leg outcome that if Barca were to score early then Inter would have to come out and attack more but I never expected the game to burst into life like it did. The big question is now, which Inter team will turn-up at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night?

Mourinho understands he has placed Inter in a great position to reach the Final. But now comes the hard part. So, which way will he play? Compact and tight, exhaust the midfield with a 4-5-1 and hoefully kill the game and Barca’s potent strikeforce. Or will Mourinho surprise us again like the way he did at stamford Bridge, when Inter expertly outclassed a stunned Chelsea side in the first half.

Recent indications that Inter’s top playmaker, Wesley Sneijder, could still make the crucial Champions League Semi-Final 2nd Leg after doubts about his thigh injury.

Barcelona, know what they have to do to reach the Champions League final. Beat Inter and beat them by two clear goals. It is this clear and direct instruction that will govern Pep Guardiola’s tactical decision making.

It’s going to be a mouthwatering tie with so many “if’s and but’s” surrounding the game. The outcome of the match could very well be penalties. I think Barcelona will win the game but something tells me they might not win it by enough to make the Champions League Final.

Lyon (0) Vs Bayern Munich (1) (2nd Leg, Tuesday the 27th of April 2010)

Update — Lyon 0 Bayern Munich 3 – Bayern win 4-0 on aggregrate and will play in the Champions League Final

Lyon go into this game refreshed from their weekend break after the French FA postponed their Ligue 1 match to help Lyon overcome a 1-0 deficit and propel themselves into the Champions League Final. The Stade Gerland is a 41,000 sell-out and they will be making plenty of noise in the hope that it upsets the team from the Bundesliga.

Perhaps, Champions League betting fans should be aware that Bayern go into tonight’s game without Frank Ribery and Danijel Prajnic – both big influential players. That aside they can still call on the likes of Robben, Scheiwnsteiger & Lahm who will no doubt start from kick-off.

A draw looks a good bet in this tie, of-course a draw would be enough to take Bayern into the Champions League Final, which is what I think the German side will be heavily instructed to play for.
