The PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) has formed the Matchplay into such a successful event it is now the 2nd largest Darts event in the World.

48-year-old, Phil Taylor, is early favourite despite losing his Premier League crown last month. Taylor recently truimphed over Raymond van Barneveld in the Las Vegas Desert Classic pocketing a £30,000 cheque for his efforts. For Matchplay darts betting fans it will probably be a likely tussle of Taylor vs Barneveld once again for the Matchplay 2009 crown, if the draw keeps them apart till the Final.
