Electrolyser

Electrolyser is a six-year-old grey horse currently trained by CG Cox. Electrolyser does not have the longest or most glamorous career history but a solid number of career wins and places have come in some good standard contests.

Electrolyser has a total of three wins, three second place finishes and a first place from a grand total of 14 races. Electrolyser has raced all over the country which includes runs on the best racecourses in the United Kingdom. Electrolyser is a great candidate to do well at Goodwood in 2011.

Career of Electrolyser

The career of Electrolyser began on January 5 2008 in a ten furlong race at Lingfield Park. Electrolyser showed great signs of potential with a second place finish in a field of ten runners.

Electrolyser showed great signs of being a classic horse that likes to challenge in middle distance races from the back of the field. The only worrying thing to come from the first race in the career of Electrolyser was the poor start the horse has which can be a worrying tendency.

First Win for Electrolyser

The first win for Electrolyser came on the same track just one month later, over the same distance and in a field of similar runners. On this occasion Electrolyser got a good start and tucked in behind the leaders before moving out to push on for a one and a half length win.

CG Cox clearly had a talented animal and after the first win for Electrolyser, the trainer decided to up the racing distance to 12 and 14 lengths. However, these distances didn't prove to be as successful which meant the horse slid down in terms of places.

The first win for Electrolyser was backed up by a second place finish and another victory which got the career of this horse off to a great start. These finishes were over ten and 11 furlongs which also suggest that Cox got it wrong toying with longer races.

Attributes of Electrolyser

The main attributes of Electrolyser are all very positive. The horse has a great attitude before, during and after a race which makes the job of the jockey very easy. The trainer also doesn’t have to worry about the horse being spooked in and around a big field of runners or a big crowd.

Consistency is also one of the strong attributes of Electrolyser because the horse has won or placed in 50 per cent of contests over a three year period. There are some horses which will be priced shorter than Electrolyser that do not enjoy as fruitful statistics over the same time period.

Betting on Electrolyser

Betting on Electrolyser is best approached by waiting until the final moments before a big race. Of course, if there are longer odds available in the build up to a race then snap them up but Electrolyser can drift in betting when placed against popular runners.

There is absolutely nothing to suggest that this horse cannot win any race it is entered in over the next few months in 2011. Electrolyser has been close to big success frequently and will have a great chance of winning the Goodwood Cup once declaration has been confirmed.
