Momentum in Cricket
While this match may not be majorly important in terms of result and the context of the series, it could be very important in terms of momentum for one of the two sides. England or India could be 1-0 up and a win at the Rose Bowl will provide greater confidence and belief.
It is very difficult to stop a team that has the momentum in cricket because the winning mentality often spreads around the dressing room. If either side can level the series after this game then it makes things much more interesting as opposed to a side going 2-0 up.
British Support
British support will be good for both teams at the Rose Bowl. Hampshire is a typically English county and filled with people who love and adore the sport. There will also be a large contingent of Indian support which will be important for the tourists.
India enjoy more British support when they tour England and Wales than at any other time when they are touring. This can only be positive for cricket and the series as sets of England and India fans get involved in a bit of banter in the stands and out on the pitch as the drama unfolds.
