Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Betting 2011
When the Formula One season gets down to the last one or two races on the calendar, everyone seems to tense up a little bit and things start to get a lot more exciting. The engineers in every garage look horrified when something goes wrong and they jump around like headless chickens when they get a good result.
Many of the markets for Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix betting will have little impact in terms of how they will affect the main standings. There will be a little value in places but it is unlikely to be found with the main drivers and constructors who will just be starting to see the rewards of a long season.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is a 55 lap race of the 5.554 kilometre track which is one of the most difficult around. There will also be many external factors which make the job of every driver more difficult in this race as temperatures can soar to conditions where it may even be possible to fry a bit of breakfast on the bonnet of the F1 car.
The interesting thing when looking at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is the number of harsh and square corners around the track. These differ from curved corners in the respect that it is a lot harder to approach them at pace in order to keep an advantage or steal an overtake.
This will make overtaking a lot more difficult and could mean some more intense driving at kinder places on the track. The different sectors all have their own advantages.
First, Second and Third Sectors at Abu Dhabi
Each sector of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix can be beneficial to a driver in different ways. The first, second and third sectors at Abu Dhabi will all provide rewards if they are approached and handled correctly in a non-daredevil way.
The first sector should reward any driver who has put in a good qualifying time because the corners are kind and should allow a good start to the race. The second sector is where all of the speed advantage will be picked up thanks to a couple of big straights.
The third sector at Abu Dhabi is where most of the complex corners are. This sector will allow any driver to get right up the back of an opponent if they have nailed the first two sectors of track.
External Conditions at Abu Dhabi
Drivers will have to be physically fitter in their preparation for this race because of the external conditions at Abu Dhabi. Temperatures can run into the early one hundreds which will cause a driver to fatigue quickly and this can be dangerous in a lengthy race.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is also a lot more open with less structures around the track creating a barrier against the elements. If the weather switches during the race and becomes windier or if it evens rains then this will have a direct impact on the cars and the track.
