Formula One Korea Grand Prix Betting 2011
The Korean Grand Prix is one of the newer races to have been included on the Formula One racing calendar for each season. Motor sport in Korea and other parts of Asia is on the increase in terms of popularity in a dramatic way.
Formula One Korea Grand Prix betting 2011 should be little different to the majority of other races. The strongest drivers in the best cars will be rewarded down the long straight on the Korean track and there are many places that the riskier drivers can try to overtake.
Yeongam
Yeongam is one of the longer races in Formula One with a track distance of 5.6 kilometres meaning a total of 55 laps. The intense temperatures in that part of Korea can also make it very demanding for the drivers both physically and mentally as they compete for vital points.
The first sector at Yeongam has two straights with the second and third sectors being filled with a complex series of corners that will be difficult to get to grips with during early practice. All of the time advantage on the Yeongam track is going to be made through the first sector.
Korean GP Favourite
The Korean GP Favourite has to be Sebastian Vettel because the conditions should favour him. Vettel is difficult to beat when the weather is hot and the track is dry. He showed his vulnerability a little bit during the Canadian Grand Prix but he should be on song here.
He will also be the Korean GP Favourite for the simple fact that he is trying to retain his world championship which he won for the first time last season. This is one of the later F1 races which means Vettel will be running out of time to do just this.
McLaren and Ferrari F1 Teams
The McLaren and Ferrari F1 teams will both have a very good chance of having the winning driver in this race. The McLaren will be the best car to nail the first sector with which should put Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button a few seconds ahead on this part of the track.
If the Ferrari is configured correctly then this will be the quickest car down the back end of the track where all of the corners are. Someone like Fernando Alonso is good enough to exploit the smallest of overtaking opportunities to get himself out in front.
F1 Constructor Championship
The F1 constructor championship will be the only winner market left by this stage of the season which will offer any value. There will be three or four teams at the top of this market but the odds for backing one team to finish first will be greater than backing any of the top drivers to finish first.
The F1 constructor championship is a hard fought for title each season which ensures that the drivers, of all teams, will have the best possible set ups for each race. McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari are the current favourites to take the title in the F1 constructor championship.
