Rugby Super League Betting 2008
It’s all change for English Rugby League in 2009 with the abandonment of the promotion/relegation practice in the Super League to be replaced by a system of club licensing. Clubs will be granted three year licenses based on a mixture of criteria which goes beyond their relative positions in the league table. From now on it’s also about the stadium facilities, financial and business stability, commercial viability and young player development. All these innovations are intended to further the growth and appeal of Rugby League.
As well as these changes, the number of clubs will be increased from 12 to 14. 19 clubs applied for a 2009 licence and the Rugby Football League (RFL) has announced that Bradford Bulls, Castleford Tigers, Catalans Dragons, Celtic Crusaders, Harlequins RL, Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC, Hull Kingston Rovers, Leeds Rhinos, Salford City Reds, St Helens, Wakefield Wildcats, Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors are the successful clubs which will compete in Super League 2009. It’s a bit sad that Toulouse didn’t make it but all the teams that were unsuccessful this time around can reapply in three years time.
Online Betting Sites
None of this affects rugby league betting fans and online betting sites will continue to devise bigger and better betting opportunities as before. Many innovations have already happened in online rugby league betting and nowadays punters are not restricted to a simple win bet but can wager on a whole range of bets including
And a whole host of other imaginative offers from the bookies. My own favourite is live betting where you can place your bet at any time during a game and then come back and bet again if things change. This keeps the excitement going right to the end of matches. Many free bets are on offer to new customers and it’s worth looking around for the best offers. There are sites to help you find these as well as the best place for your needs.
There’s a wealth of information available too, with many sites offering advice, tips, gossip, inside stories and statistics to help you make up your mind. Most online betting sites have proved their reliability and trustworthiness and offer great customer support to their clients. Navigation round the sites couldn’t be easier and signing up is a very simple job.
Rugby Super League
The two new clubs to join the Super League ranks are Celtic Crusaders and Salford City Reds. According to the bookies, who place them low down the list, it’s going to take them a few seasons to adjust. Predictable, St. Helens and the Leeds Rhinos are favourites by far with Bradford Bulls, Warrington and Wigan forming the next group of hopefuls behind them. The same goes for the Grand Final which is played out by the top finishing teams – but you never know what might happen and it’s definitely worth following the ups and downs of the season to see if the bookies have got it right. Who knows? You might be onto a winner if you fancy a team chances and grab some great early odds now.
