Strictly Come Dancing Betting 2008

Week four of Strictly Come Dancing has now come and gone in this popular competition and what a sobfest it turned out to be. Jessie Wallace fell apart when the judges described her moves with Darren as more football pitch than dance floor and tearfully flounced off, refusing to film the results show. Persuade back, she then failed to convince the public and was shown the door. As a result, Heather Small and Brian Fortuna survived to dance another day as a result and her relief was clear. Jodie Kidd got through but took lots of stick from the judges and collapsed backstage in an ‘I’m not good enough’ weeping heap.

Cherie Lunghi, topping the leader board, performed her rumba especially well and surprised the judges, particularly Arlene who, in another tearful moment, appeared visibly moved. Cherie is an obvious front runner. Jodie, despite her awareness of her own woodenness and the hard work she had put in to remedy this, was still marked down by the judges. It seems the lack of emotion she is able to put in is downgrading her performances. Even her partner, Ian Waite, has demanded more ‘sexiness’ from her. She’s made an effort, though, and sometimes you wonder what lies behind the judges thinking. Improvement and determination are clearly not attributes they value very highly.

As with all these reality talent shows, the judges are part of the show and they want to be famous and make lots of money too. To this end they concentrate on expressing what they believe to be their endearing sides as well as attracting just the right degree of notoriety with their occasional harshness. Simon Cowell, of X Factor fame, set the bar for this and he hasn’t done himself any harm.

Lots of online betting sites offer prices on this show and most give free bets incentives to new customers. There are even sites which will help you to find the best offers and the right place for you. Coupled with that, you get plenty of advice, inside stories, gossip and statistics to help you on your way.

Favourites To Win Strictly Come Dancing Betting

There are a few dilemmas for Strictly Come Dancing Betting followers. Lisa Snowdon did well with her rumba, putting a lot of sexy moves into the dance. She comes across as someone who does everything well and could easily turn out to be a dark horse as the competition progresses. My own favourite, Christine Bleakley, did fabulously and I just can’t understand why she isn’t higher up the leader board. Perhaps it was the yellow dress. The sensual Rachel slinked through a compelling quickstep and underlined the degree to which the sex factor is a strong determinant in the marking. The judges clearly agreed and there was nothing but praise.

The blokes did their unremarkable group dance with their partners. Next week will tell us more about them when they come head to head with the women for the first time. So far, in previous weeks, Austin Healey has turned in good performances and pleased the judges with his looks and style. Muscley legs and brawny good looks that can convert to sexy dancing are a winning formula. Tom Chambers is his main threat and ends up just one point behind Austin in the judges reckoning. Don Warrington is also hanging in there with creditable performances that drew praise from the judges.

Mark Foster and Andrew Castle have yet to set the judges on fire. John Sergeant has been cruelly, if accurately, less than praised in the press for his looks, but his force of personality shines through and he has the sympathy vote for putting himself through all this in such a sporting way. He also claims to have the entire Cabinet supporting him.

Austin Healey remains a nostril ahead of the field with Rachel Stevens and Tom Chambers second joint-favourites for Betting fans of striclty. Cherie Lunghi lies in fourth place with the bookies. For the time being, the rest of the field drops away at this point but don’t be fooled, anything can happen and probably will.
