Strictly Come Dancing 2011 is the ninth series of the show in the United Kingdom. The show began on 10 September 2011 and will run through with weekly shows until its conclusion in late December.

14 couples begin the Strictly Come Dancing 2011 expereience when 14 celebrities are paired with 14 professional partners including Anton du Beke, Brendan Cole and last year’s winner (alongside Kara Tointon) Artem Chigvintsev.

The series is be screened live on BBC and on November 19 the show will be broadcast from Wembley Arena for a Children in Need special. The final will be held at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. As is commonplace in Strictly Come Dancing each week one couple will be eliminated following a combination of the judges scoring and the public vote.
