It seems Celtic have little chance of doing anything other than turning up at The Emirates Stadium tomorrow night (Wednesday, August 26, 2009) and going through the motions to keep the score respectable. They’ll (England) be looking for their big players to be confident in this final test - none-more-so than Andrew Flintoff who’ll be looking for a winning end before he retires from International cricket. However, you can be assured that Australia will not be reading from the same script.

At the end of this month (August 09) the last tennis major of this year - The US Open - will be contested and the bookies have placed Britain’s Andy Murray as 2nd favourite. But let’s be clear about this, no matter how we feel about Murray, his position of second seed is as much to do with Nadal’s long-term injury than Murray’s winning performances in the Masters series.

Lightning strikes shaved into his head, Phil Taylor showed once again just what a force he is within the World Matchplay championship as he crushed Kevin Painter 13 - 3 in the second round. It seems when it comes to Taylor and winning the World Matchplay crown, lighting does strike more than once as he eyes up his 10th title.
Painter, suprisingly had control early on in the game as he broke Taylor’s throw in the first leg, but that was about it for Painter as Taylor won the next 10 legs convincingly and then played out the remaining games in cruise control.
