It’s a surprise that Boxing Betting isn’t more popular in the UK. A boxing free bet is always available in the same way as conventional sports bets but we don’t seem to be as keen on betting in this area as are the rest of the world. It may be an indication that we need a higher profile for our upcoming stars. It’s not as glamorous a sport at the lower levels as arenas just don’t have the capacity. However, TV coverage is good at this level and so it is difficult to fathom out why growth is slow in online boxing betting.

Here in the UK, with Lennox Lewis taking a step back, the big name at the moment is Joe Calzaghe at Super Middleweight. Again, it is unfortunate that his weight class just doesn’t seem to carry the profile that heavyweight does. It’s certainly not through lack of excitement as the fights get faster as the weights go down. I guess it’s just that it seems more entertaining for the less regular boxing fan to see the impact that two heavyweights have on each other when their punches land.

Let’s hope that boxing betting will grow in the online betting world and a boxing free bet will be something that we shall see more of.
