Here at Free Betting Online, we aim to bring you even the less popular events as betting opportunities. Surprisingly, Eurovision Song Contest betting doesn’t seem to attract as much interest for the betting fraternity as sports betting events, say.
The money just doesn’t seem to be there through the bookies to make it a sure bet to make a good return. One can only guess that the contest is more a family occasion. It’s always fun to watch but this year should be especially interesting with Justin Hawkins of the darkness entering the fray. He’s a superb entertainer and could eventually be put on a pedestal up there with the likes of Freddie Mercury in terms of his stage presence and on-stage antics.
Coupled with this though, Justin seems to be a genuinely nice guy and this endears him a lot to the general public and this is a very powerful trait for a person going into such a competition.Betting will soon start to get under way when all countries have submitted their contestants and the online bookmakers can start to display their odds.As always, we at Free Betting Online will be monitoring things as the competition gets closer so keep an eye on us!

Online punters would have bet last year that Wembley wouldn’t have been finished in time for this years FA Cup Final on May 19th but, to everyone’s amazement fans are free to get their tickets, place their bets and make the travel arrangements as the keys were handed over last week. It’s still not 100% sure though as some final safety checks need to be made so that the stadium conforms to regulations. However, it would be a major shock to have to play the big match again at the Millenium Stadium. There’s nothing wrong with the Cardiff venue of course, quite the opposite - it has led the way in Stadium design. But there is something about not playing our own come final in our own country.
The media are talking about Wembley now becoming the best stadium in the world with all sorts of fantastic facilities. The inside looks great and even the access areas look smart and roomy.
For betting fans the booths look comfortable with good viewing areas.
Betfred remain the official Bookmaker for betting in the Stadium.

After a great weekend of sport, whoever used their free bets on welsh rugby might be feeling sore. Let’s hope that Cheltenham bets are just as entertaining. But this is what betting means - nothing is certain and your free bets and free money provides you with an opportunity to punt online and sit nervously and see what the outcome is.
As the Cheltenham Festival gets underway today, Fraid nerves, butterflies in the stomach and even a few rows between friends create both casual betting and more serious wagering for the professional. Who would swap that feeling as your horse’s fate ebbs and flows in a race and nothing is decided until the final furlong.
Then of course there was a certain FA cup qualifier from Saturday that went to the wire and what a result! When you go 3-1 up at half time, even against the likes of Chelsea, you have to fancy your best chances of taking the game. But back they came, like a true champion team, to level it. Most bets were on Chelsea before the game, Spurs at half time, maybe Chelsea again 5 minutes from full time but now we’re left with the prospect of another thriller to settle it.
Can’t wait!

Betting has started online for MotoGP as today sees the first race of the season at Qatar. This is start of another exciting season and free bets offers are available from UK bookmakers to begin with an introductory bonus for newcomers to both the sport and to the motor cycling betting fraternity.
Last year, Rossi narrowly missed the championship title to Haden and let’s hope that this year will deliver the same thrilling campaigns by both riders. Also, look out for many others as the field is thrown wide open due to the new bikes used this year, being downsized from last season’s 990cc to 800cc.
Capirossi and Stoner will no doubt be hot on the tails of last years top duo and John Hopkins on the Suzuki will be one to watch without a doubt. If you are a race fan then you’ll only be betting on your favourite rider of course, but also trying to get to the races themselves. MotoGP meetings are are a fantastic event with friendly, knowledgable people that are passionate about their particular rider or racing team.
It’s almost guaranteed to provide another end of season thriller but there’s a lot of fantastic action before we get there. This is one of the most eagerly awaited season’s for a long while.

Comments from Jose Mourinho have got football punters betting on many online sites discusssing his future. Will he want to free himself from uncertainty and go of his own accord or will bets be placed on more money for the manager or even an imminent dismissal?
It’s a strange thing at the top of a game or corporate entity that no matter how good you are at what you do, don’t bet on staying for ever! If you get too big for your boots then you could be out. No company will be dictated to, and rightly so, but what has Mourinho done wrong to upset the applecart? Arrogance comes with any successful performer, especially in football. It’s almost a requirement. Look at any individual in sport and you can bet they have that trait. They didn’t get to be the best by being nice to others and saying “nice” things like ” oh no, you first to play for your country, I’ll have a go next time”. They would have been eaten alive before they got anywhere.
If a top football club is succeeding in, let’s face it, one of the fiercest businesses around, then someone has got to be hard-nosed and lead the players. It’s dog eat dog, check out our last blog on betting on the play-offs. Is there any better example of a situation where a ruthless streak is needed. It’s do or die. Survive in the Premiership, for example, or get relegated with the huge implications of financial revenue loss and gate takings dropping and needless to say, a very hard slog to get back there.
Me? I’d keep Mourinho at (almost) any cost.

Bets are beginning to be placed on the end of the premiership season in particular as the end is now in sight. You can also place a bet on any of the other divisions around the country and use your football free bet when you do! This has got to be the most exciting part of the season as the clubs try to free themselves from the clasps of the relegation zone. West Ham lost to Spurs this weekend and it looks as though they’ll be part of the fight to stay alive and Watford drew with Charlton so not much changes after that result.
The tension mounting for the finale of each football season is probably unmatched by any sport. In American Football, they tried to get rid of play-offs so that none of the major teams get relegated. Obviously, this is a purely financial reason and typifies business taking precedence over the sport as a spectacle itself. This can’t be right!
Teams in the lower division of a particular relegation zone deserve their chance to compete and take their game to the next level. How many people thought Reading would perform as well as they have in the Premiership this year as they have done? They prove the point that, for a club to move forward, they must have the chance to progress.
Besides this point though, the excitement and buzz at the football pay-offs in this country is phenomenal and surely it’s the culmination of the whole season. It’s not much fun if you’re a fan of one of the struggling teams but that’s the incentive to get down to the matches and spur your side on right though the season.
Bring them on.

When a punter joins an online bookmaker, they will sometimes relax their betting strategy having got the free bet reward. This means they bet on something they wouldn’t normally or they don’t give much thought to the plan of their new punt. This is a shame and it is very common. The point here is not to get to excited because you have the free money, you may think “well, it’s not really my money so I’ll just give it a whirl on something with good odds.
This doesn’t really work as it’s not part of an overall plan. Use the free bets given to you by your bookmaker to either spread on a few markets or add to your deposit to plan a bigger punt on an event that you may be familiar with. To make money in the betting field, you need a plan. This is how the big boys succeed and become professional. They familiarise themselves with markets and then gradually grow their budgets as they become more successful. They don’t blow it on one “Dead cert.”
So plan and bet in a measured and monitored fashion and get to know all the markets that you think you’ll be involved with in the future. Learn about the different types of bets in online betting and who knows ….
