The internet’s source for Free Bets and Free Betting Online

Free Betting means money in your pocket

April 5th, 2007 by FreeBetsmaster

The term “Free Betting” is used in the online betting world to highlight free money offers from the bookmakers. Many people know about this as the free bet that a bookie gives away to encourage new customers to their client base. We are often asked why it is termed “free” when you have to effectively buy a bet by depositing some money yourself.

As with many things nowadays, a supplier of goods or commodities will nearly always sacrifice some sort of money value t0 get you as a customer. The supermarkets are typical of this, although they do it in a different way, i.e. loyalty cards is a good example where customers are given points to redeem for goods at a later date. BOGOFF deals (Buy One Get One Free) again give you something for free to get you you to buy at least something! This is usually at a quieter time of year.

The Bookmakers are trying to operate in a similar vein and the only saleable commodity that they have is a bet. It has to be accepted and understood that they need a commitment from you that you are going to stay with them for your online betting when they give away bets to a money value because, make no mistake, a free bet is free money.
