Relentless Nadal
July 28th, 2008 by FreeBetsmasterRafael Nadal has won the Toronto Masters and most sports betting fans will agree that his march towards the number one slot in men’s tennis now looks certain to succeed. Andy Murray was fulsome in his praise of the Spaniard after their meet in the semi-final and observes that Nadal is now doing right all that he once did wrong, he has adjusted his control on the hard courts and produces a faster ball while coming in more from behind the baseline to play a closer, tighter match.
In the final, Nadal swept aside Nicolas Kiefer 6-3, 6-2 to take his consecutive winning run to 29 matches. Now only 300 points behind Roger Federer in the world rankings, Rafi looks like the force to watch at the US Open in August. With Federer still front-runner, at 11/8 in the eyes of online tennis betting sites, now might be the time to get in there and take a look at Nadal who rates an attractive 7/4.
When will Nadal be #1
Before that we have the Cincinnati Masters this week and US Open tennis betting enthusiasts will be expecting Nadal to take the crown at this event and achieve the coveted number one position. He remains an attractive proposition here with online sites giving him 2/1 over Federer’s 13/8. In all sports there occasionally appears a master who looks like he or she will dominate the sport forever. Tiger Woods has done it in golf and now Nadal has assumed that identity of the unstoppable and unbeatable in men’s tennis. He has the power, the skill and, most importantly, the strength of will to hold that position, in the eyes of this observer at least, for a long, long time to come
